Resources for Keeping a Holy Lent

The season of Lent, the 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter, begins on March 6. The Episcopal Church, the Society for St. John the Evangelist, and Living Compass offer no-cost Lenten devotions, reflections, and curricula for individuals and congregations.

Episcopal Relief & Development offers meditations via email each day of Lent. To receive a meditation each morning beginning Ash Wednesday, March 6, sign up online.

The Society for St. John the Evangelist (SSJE) offers four free, web-based programs for use by individuals or groups: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of JohnFive Marks of LoveGrowing a Rule of Life and It’s Time To…Stop, Pray, Work, Play and Love.

Life Transformed – The Way of Love in Lent, offers resources based on Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s Way of Love practices and the Easter Vigil readings. Materials include a seven-week Adult Forum program and a quiet day curriculum.
